A 20 hour online TESOL/TEFL training course for existing TEFL certificate holders, helping you to gain the skills and confidence to succeed with kindergarten and primary-aged English language learners. Study at your own pace, with up to 6 months to complete.

Our Teaching English to Kindergarten and Primary Learners (TEKPL) course helps you manage, motivate and succeed with the 3-11 age range. Across 2 modules you’ll get full tutorial support and feedback on your work, enjoying sections on classroom management, materials and motivating youngsters. Newly revised from our popular 30 hour TEYL course, we have updated material to include current trends in young learner teaching, alongside the latest materials and apps to help you and your students stay engaged and learning. 


How the course works


As soon as you register, you'll get directed to log in to your personal student area where you can message your tutor, download your course and view latest TESOL jobs worldwide via our jobs feed.
After downloading your first module (there are 2 in total) you can work offline when you want to. 

When complete, simply upload your modules via your student area and get full feedback from your tutor. We've made this course as flexible and easy for you to access as possible.

Throughout the course you’ll be able to access live teaching segments, podcasts and links to some of the top EFL material on the web today to keep you interested & motivated.

Eligibility

This course is for existing EFL teachers who wish to enhance their career and learn more about teaching in this specialised area of primary or pre-school English. Applicants should already hold a TEFL certificate and have some experience in teaching EFL, or look to take this course alongside one of our longer TESOL courses.

Our courses are open to all native and non-native English speakers with good written and spoken English. If you are a non-native English speaker, please see the course eligibility requirements on our FAQ page. Remember you can always ask us if you are not sure about your level of English. 

We also welcome application from schools wishing to train their teachers in-house. 

Duration

This 2 module course is approximately 20 study hours and typically take between 2-3 weeks to complete but you can go faster or slower than that if you wish. Because many of our trainees are balancing work/life commitments, we go at your speed and allow up to 6 months for course completion. Everything you need to complete your course and gain your certificate is included in the one fee above. However, check out these optional extras:

  • Additional time course extensions available if you need to go beyond 180 days 
  • Global English printed and embossed certificate posted to you (£15 UK / £20 outside)
