What's the difference between TEFL and TESOL?
Very little in practice. TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) and TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) are used interchangeably by employers worldwide. What matters is the number of hours, the level, and the accreditation behind your certificate - not which acronym is on it.
How many hours of TEFL training do I need?
120 hours is the industry standard that most employers and online teaching platforms ask for as a minimum. In competitive markets - or if you want to stand out - a Level 4 (150-hour) or Level 5 (250-hour) qualification gives you deeper training and a stronger CV.
Can I do a TEFL course if I've never taught before?
Yes. Our courses assume no teaching experience or grammar expertise - we take you from complete beginner to qualified teacher step by step, with a personal tutor marking your work and giving feedback throughout.
Am I too old to start teaching English?

How long does an online TESOL course take?
Courses are self-paced. Most students complete the 120-hour course in 6 to 12 weeks, the 150-hour in 6 to 8 weeks of focused study, and the 250-hour Professional course in 10 to 20 weeks, with 180 to 365 days' access depending on the course.
