Lockdown Stories from Italy

Life in Lockdown Milan, Italy

What do you do when your teaching life suddenly changes?

When Covid-19 erupted in Italy in 2020, Alison David’s career as a professional Business English teacher slammed to a halt.

Teaching stopped. Income disappeared. Social life – non-existent.

Over the course of the year, living under the cloud of Covid-19, Alison started writing daily insider “Lockdown Stories from Italy” on her Facebook page, to answer the many questions and concerns of friends and family abroad. That morphed into a Facebook blog called Alison David - Find yourself in Italy.

Now Alison has published her “musings on lockdown” in a witty, hilarious and at times heart-rending book called Finding Myself in Lockdown in Italy, Musings from my year 'home alone' in Milan.

In the book, you’ll find daily updates on how one Australian woman dealt with a year of lockdown home alone in Milan, from disco-dancing house-cleaning to 80's aerobics videos, joining the pot-banging on the balcony, to the reality of not much work, and the heart-breaking scenes and stories that emerged.

Her book is a great read, with five-star reviews and you can find it on Amazon here >>

Thanks Alison!
