New courses for 2022
We are excited to announce our new TESOL courses for 2022.
Developed for the new English language teaching environment you live in, these courses have both classroom and online teacher training elements. This means that they are practical for all new English language teachers, because you'll need to be comfortable working in-class and online.
All courses start from the beginning, assuming no teaching or grammar knowledge. Simply choose the level and depth of coverage that’s best for you.
New TESOL Premier 120-hour course
100% online, you train at your own pace for maximum flexibility, alongside personal tutor support and feedback. This TESOL Premier 120-hour course blends classroom-based teaching with online English teaching techniques, watching actual teaching on our YouTube channel, so you'll get the best of both worlds. We have built a brand new “notes” feature into the student dashboard, where you will have the option to engage in reflective learning as you progress, as well as participate in our student forum.
For a well-rounded first qualification, this is a great choice, accredited to ACTDEC Level 3 and an option to upgrade to the TESOL Advanced 150-hr course at any time.
New TESOL Advanced 150-hour course
This course builds on the 120-hour qualification taking you to Level 4. The TESOL Advanced 150-hr course will help boost your confidence and skills with more in-depth training. In addition to all the accredited 120-hour material, you'll benefit from four new areas:
- learn how to set up as an independent online English teacher
- understand how to teach different levels in our advanced classroom management modules
- manage student progress effectively by developing your knowledge of learner assessment
- develop the skills to self-evaluate as a professional English teacher
Plus, get the option to step up to option to upgrade to the TESOL Professional 250-hr course later if you wish.
New TESOL Professional 250-hour course
Available the week commencing 24th January, this is the teachers’ choice for career-minded English teachers. Go further, dig deeper and build your confidence. This course Includes some fantastic areas for teacher professional development including:
- online English teaching - learn how to optimise Zoom and manage online classes better
- inclusion in TESOL - how to understand and support learners with various special needs or disabilities (SEND)
- IELTS - all about this popular exam and how to teach it effectively
- phonetics - showing you how to help your learners improve their spoken English
- linguistics - better appreciate the factors influencing the English language today
- advanced learner assessment - how to design valid and reliable tests for your students
- professional development - how to become a reflective teacher to improve your teaching
- current ethical issues in ELT, including the use of AI, learner identity, and the bilingual education vs ESL debate.
This course really stands out on a CV or resume so you can start your teaching career with confidence.
This is a fully accredited Level 5 TESOL, leading to a superior ACTDEC qualification. It provides more depth, breadth and TESOL know-how than any other online Level 5 TESOL today.
