Asia: Teach English to Young Learners in Kuala Lumpur - Malaysia
Join a Kuala Lumpur enrichment or tuition centre teaching English to children and teenagers, with after-school and weekend classes and a friendly expat community.
Location: Kuala Lumpur and the Klang Valley
Position: Young-learner English teacher, enrichment / tuition centre
Vacancies: Ongoing throughout the year
Contract: Typically 1 year, renewable
Hours / duties: Weekday late-afternoon and weekend classes teaching phonics, conversation and exam preparation to children and teenagers in small groups.
Pay: Roughly MYR 3,500–7,000 a month (around £600–£1,200) depending on hours and experience.
Additional benefits: Visa support and paid training are commonly provided.
Qualifications and requirements
Minimum TESOL certificate: Any Global English TESOL qualification accepted; a young-learner specialism is an advantage.
Nationality: Native or fluent English speaker.
Other requirements: A bachelor’s degree is normally required for the work pass; a genuine enjoyment of teaching children is essential.
