Location: Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor and other cities
Position: English teacher, international / private school
Vacancies: Recruitment mainly for the August academic-year start, with some mid-year posts
Contract: Usually 2 years
Hours / duties: A full weekday timetable delivering a British, American or IB curriculum to primary or secondary classes.
Pay: Typically MYR 8,000–15,000 a month (around £1,400–£2,600), tax-efficient and among the best in the region.
Additional benefits: Commonly include flights, health insurance, and in some cases housing or a housing allowance.
Qualifications and requirements
Minimum TESOL certificate: A Global English TESOL qualification strengthens your application.
Nationality: Native or fluent English speaker.
Other requirements: A bachelor’s degree plus a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS or equivalent) and generally two to three years’ classroom experience are required for international-school posts.
