English teachers wanted for binational centres and language institutes in Lima, Peru, one of South America's largest ESL markets. Intakes in February and July.
Country: Peru
Location: Lima, home to nearly ten million people and one of the largest markets for English teachers in South America.
Position: English teacher at a binational centre or private language institute (of the ICPNA type).
Contract: Six to twelve months. Hiring peaks in February and March and again in July and August.
Hours and duties: Around 20 to 25 teaching hours per week with adults and young professionals. You will deliver communicative lessons, track progress and help learners prepare for study and work.
Pay and benefits: A monthly salary of US$500 to US$1,000, set by the local cost of living. Common benefits include paid vacation, health insurance and a housing allowance.
Requirements: A 120-hour TEFL or TESOL certificate and native-level English. A bachelor's degree is preferred but not always required.
Qualifications: A Global English TESOL qualification; a bachelor's degree is an advantage.
