English teachers wanted for language institutes in the Andean cities of Arequipa and Cusco, Peru. Steady demand, a low cost of living and some roles offering accommodation.
Country: Peru
Location: Arequipa and Cusco, two Andean cities with steady institute demand and a strong tourism-driven need for English.
Position: English teacher at a language institute, with some volunteer and community-project roles also available.
Contract: Six to twelve months, with intakes through the year.
Hours and duties: Around 20 to 25 teaching hours per week, teaching adults and teenagers, planning lessons and keeping simple records.
Pay and benefits: A monthly salary of US$500 to US$800. A low cost of living stretches your earnings, and some roles include shared accommodation.
Requirements: A TEFL or TESOL certificate and enthusiasm for life at altitude in the Andes. A bachelor's degree is preferred but not essential.
Qualifications: A Global English TESOL qualification and a minimum of a high-school diploma.
