Qualified English teachers wanted for bilingual schools in Costa Rica's Central Valley. Full academic-year contracts with health insurance and, at some schools, housing support.
Country: Costa Rica
Location: Bilingual and international schools across the Central Valley near San Jose.
Position: Classroom English teacher at a bilingual primary or secondary school.
Contract: A full academic year, following the Costa Rican calendar that runs from February to November.
Hours and duties: A standard school day of around 35 hours per week, teaching English to children or teenagers, planning lessons, marking work and joining school life.
Pay and benefits: A monthly salary of US$800 to US$1,200 with benefits that usually include health insurance and, at some schools, a housing allowance and support with a work permit.
Requirements: A bachelor's degree and a 120-hour TEFL or TESOL certificate. Previous classroom teaching experience is preferred.
Qualifications: A Global English TESOL qualification, a bachelor's degree and, ideally, some teaching experience.
