English teachers wanted for busy private language schools in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Year-round intakes, work-visa support and a salary pegged to the local cost of living.
Country: Brazil
Location: Sao Paulo, with further openings in nearby Campinas and across the state.
Position: English teacher at an established private language school (of the Cultura Inglesa, CCAA and CNA type).
Contract: Typically twelve months, renewable by mutual agreement. Hiring runs all year with the busiest intakes in February to March and again in July to August.
Hours and duties: Around 20 to 30 teaching hours per week across young learners, teenagers and adults. Teachers plan communicative lessons, keep simple progress records and prepare students for everyday and exam English.
Pay and benefits: A monthly salary of roughly R$3,000 to R$5,000 (about US$700 to US$1,050), set in line with Brazil's cost of living. Many schools add a transport allowance (vale-transporte) and a meal allowance.
Requirements: Fluent, native-level English and a professional, reliable manner. A VITEM V work visa is normally needed and the sponsoring school helps arrange it; the larger chains expect a bachelor's degree.
Qualifications: A Global English TESOL qualification and, ideally, a bachelor's degree.
