Tunisia EFL Teachers - Tunisia - Paid

Language schools in Tunis and Sousse recruit EFL teachers as demand for English grows in this traditionally French-speaking market. TEFL/TESOL certificate and a degree required.

Location: Tunis, Sousse and other coastal cities

Position: EFL teacher (language school)

Vacancies: Growing, as interest in English rises

Contract: Fixed-term, commonly renewable

Start dates: Rolling, with a September peak

Hours / duties: Teaching general English and conversation to teenagers and adults across mixed levels, often in afternoon and evening classes.

Pay: Full-time posts commonly pay 3,750–7,700 TND per month (around £980–£2,000 / $1,400–$2,830), competitive for the region and comfortable against local living costs.

Qualifications and requirements

Minimum TESOL certificate: Any Global English TESOL qualification accepted.

Nationality: Native or near-native English speaker (UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand or South Africa).

Other requirements: A bachelor’s degree is required; French is useful for daily life but not needed in the classroom.
