Private language schools in Morocco’s major cities need enthusiastic English teachers for evening and weekend adult classes and young-learner courses. Great entry route for new TEFL graduates with a degree.
Location: Casablanca, Rabat, Marrakech, Fez and Agadir
Position: English teacher (private language school)
Vacancies: Regular openings across partner schools
Contract: Fixed-term, commonly renewed for a further year
Start dates: Rolling, with the busiest recruitment before the September term
Hours / duties: A mix of general English, conversation and exam-preparation classes for teenagers and adults, often timetabled in the late afternoon and evening when learners are free.
Pay: Around 4,600–9,500 MAD per month (roughly £410–£820 / $500–$1,000) depending on hours and experience, comfortable against Morocco’s low living costs.
Additional benefits: Assistance with the work-permit and residency process; a supportive first posting for teachers new to the region.
Qualifications and requirements
Minimum TESOL certificate: Any Global English TESOL qualification accepted.
Nationality: Native or near-native English speaker (UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand or South Africa).
Other requirements: A bachelor’s degree is required for the visa. No prior experience needed for many entry-level posts – a positive, adaptable attitude matters most.
