With so much demand in China for English teachers, it is good to know more directly from schools about their ethos and what you can expect as a teacher when you apply. We asked Demi from i2Education, an organisation with schools across China, to tell us what makes them stand out.
'As a school in China, we are often asked by potential teachers: why should I work for i2 Education?
Well, we think we are different than many - and here's why....
💟 i2 family 💟 it's not just a team of like-minded people passionate about education, it's also a circle of your closest friends you spend time with outside of work and share the best memories. i2 is built by awesome individuals who create miracles together.
Here is just a flavour of what you can expect as a teacher:
- Training, lesson plans and full support - you just need to bring an enjoyment of teaching children and be open and ready for a new cultural experience. No experience or teaching certificate is needed (although it can help of course.) We can train and support you to becoming the best teacher you can be
- Help finding accommodation, orientation and support acclimatising to a new culture
- A very competitive salary; you are likely to earn a little under 40,000USD per year but the cost of living in China is cheap compared to most cities in the West. This means you can save money, have fun and enjoy a new, rich and friendly cultural experience
However, don’t just take our word for it. In the video below some of our lovely teachers tell you what it’s like to live, work and earn in China with i2 Education.'
If you are a native English speaker with a degree, and like what you see, i2Eduction is recruiting now. See their job description and apply here>>
