Can I save money teaching in Italy?

Realistically no - Italy is break-even living well. Teachers who save do it with online students taught from an Italian address.

Where is it easiest to find work?

Mid-size northern and central cities (Bologna, Turin, Florence, Verona) balance real demand with liveable rents; Milan has the most work and the highest costs.
