About the role:
Private schools in Istanbul and Izmir hire EFL teachers for kindergarten, primary and secondary classes. Timetables are typically around 25 teaching hours per week, with class sizes of roughly 10-25 students. Contracts generally run through the academic year from September to June. Language schools and private schools recruit year-round, with peak hiring in summer for September starts.
Qualifications and requirements:
A university degree in any subject and a Global English TESOL certificate (courses from 70 hours upwards are accepted). Teachers should be native English speakers with a valid passport. Employers provide support with the work permit and visa process.
