The south of England welcomes thousands of international students each summer, and homestay tutors are needed in the East Sussex area to teach English and host students in their own homes. It is a flexible, rewarding option for qualified teachers based in the region.
The role
- Teaching English one-to-one or in very small groups, combined with full-board homestay hosting
- Students typically stay for a couple of weeks at a time across June, July and August
- Around 15–20 teaching hours per week; self-employed/contracted positions
Typically offered
- A weekly fee covering both tuition and hosting
- Support from the programme organiser
Requirements
- A suitable home in the East Sussex area and the right to work in the UK
- A Global English TESOL certificate
