Rolling intakes; typically a five-day week with around 20 teaching hours per week; one-year contracts (usually two semesters).

Public schools, private academies and training centres, with class sizes and age groups (children through to teenagers) varying by placement.
Pay, holidays and benefits:
Salaries commonly range from around 7,000 RMB per month at entry level up to significantly more for experienced teachers in larger cities. Free or subsidised accommodation, Chinese public holidays and an end-of-contract completion bonus are common. China has one of the world’s largest English-learning markets and continues to recruit foreign teachers in high numbers.
Qualifications and requirements:
