Our Teaching English to Young Learners (TEYL) course is a 2 module course designed to help you manage, motivate and succeed with the 3-15 year age group. You get full tutorial support and feedback on your work (unlike many other YL add-ons) and our course also come with one of the latest YL course books, absolutely free, so you have a wealth of the most up-to-date materials to help you with the course and with your classes.
Eligibility
This course is for existing EFL teachers or holders of a recognised TESOL certificate who wish to learn more about teaching in this specialised area. Applicants should already hold a recognised TEFL certificate and/or have some experience in teaching EFL. The course is open to native and non-native speakers with a high level of written and spoken English. We also welcome application from schools wishing to train their teachers in-house. Course duration
The course is approximately 25 study hours in length and we expect it will take around 4 weeks to complete. However, as it is done in students own time, via home study, and students can take up to 6 months. The course is portable and can be completed anywhere.
Assessment
The course is graded by your personal tutor who assesses your responses to targeted questions and awards a grade. Your personal tutor can be contacted by phone or email if any help or advice is required. The final grade is awarded on the following scale: A, B or Pass. On successful completion students receive the Global English Certificate in Teaching English to Young Learners.
