Who is this course for?
Anyone new to teaching. We'll take you step-by-step through the essential skills to succeed in the classroom. This course is ideal if you are:
- new to the profession but want to gain a foundation in TESOL/TEFL
- keen to volunteer or teach and earn in a less competitive location, such as Latin America or Africa
- already teaching but want to formalise your experience
- keen to qualify and start teaching as soon as possible
Why this course?
You’ll cover all the essentials for the modern EFL classroom but in a condensed form. Benefit from our guided, interactive programme, with a personal tutor on hand for advice and for full feedback and marking.
In addition, there is no final exam. Instead you are graded on your marks across the modules so you will always know how you are progressing. Your A, B or Pass grade is shown on your free Global English Certificate.
We've made this course as flexible and easy for you to access as possible. It's externally accredited to ACTDEC Level 2 standard and at 70 hours, you’ll have the possibility of teaching and earning as soon as possible.
How this interactive course works
This course is ideal if you’ve got a good broadband connection so can work entirely online via a tablet/PC/Mac. You’ll complete interactive exercises, create lesson plans and view video and graphics that bring the course to life. (Please note, you will not be able to print your work out. If you would prefer to work mostly offline in Word/PDF and have a printable option, choose our Level 3 120 hour TEFL Premier Course.)
This course will typically take you between 6-8 weeks to complete, but we go at your speed and allow up to 6 months for course completion for maximum flexibility.
Open to native and non-native English speakers over 17 years old with good written and spoken English. If you are a non-native English speaker, please see the course eligibility requirements on our FAQ page. Remember you can always ask us if you are not sure about your level of English.
