Why this course
Our guided, interactive programme gives you the chance to practice the essential things you will need to do on your own as a teacher, such as create lesson plans and source materials. Many other online courses rely much more heavily on self assessment/multi choice – this one doesn’t. More personalised support means we can help you develop better teaching skills.
Your level 2 certificate is awarded by ACTDEC so employers can be sure this course has met strict, independent criteria for TESOL provision. You will have a strong foundation to give you the confidence and skills necessary to succeed in the classroom. In addition you gain the 180 hour GE TESOL with TEYL certificate.
It provides all-round coverage in one course, giving you the skills to teach both adults and young learners. The young learner component follows on logically across each of modules in manageable sections.
You’ll receive a TEYL course book absolutely free with this course, so you have a wealth of the most up-to-date materials to help kick-start your TESOL career.

Student Comments
Although I've been teaching for a while, your course has taught me a lot. I'll be more careful when I time my activities and I won't focus TOO much on grammar. I really appreciated the TEYL part-great tips for children: what to expect from them and being able to understand how much they've learned; and teenagers: how to get them intersted and KEEP them interested throughout the lesson. Thank you!

I have just finished the course and thoroughly enjoyed it. Any questions I have had have been answered very quickly, and I really got the impression I was communicating with a person, as opposed to receiving a standard response. It was very difficult to choose a TESOL course as there are so many available on the internet and it is a daunting task trying to pick one which is professional and credible.
Some of the other websites I looked at said all the right things, and seemed to be 'above board' but had spelling and grammatical mistakes in their content - slightly worrying for a TESOL training provider. I have not been disappointed by any aspect of the Global English course or service, and would definitely reccomend you. I particularly found the marking and the comments on the completed modules very helpful. It was obvious someone had taken the time to read my answers and not only critique them, but provide very useful pointers, techniques and lesson plans which I have already been able to put into practice.

In 2010 I enrolled in and completed the 180hr TESOL+TEYL certification course. At the time I had about 9 years of experience in education but wanted a certification to validate my experience. Initially I was nervous about taking a course, but right away I "got into it" and enjoyed the hard work it required. The course material and the tutor herself were very challenging! I was able to draw upon my prior knowledge, but also had to be open to constructive criticism and therefore I felt that I gained quite a bit from taking the course. Everything was presented in a clear and orderly manner; very professional, yet accessible. The course tutor that guided me was incredibly prompt while handling my coursework and answered my questions and concerns with respect and clarity (even those I felt slightly embarrassed asking!).
The aftercare has been exceptional too. I contacted the staff for pointers here and there since certifying and have always received friendly replies. In all honesty, I would recommend taking the certification courses offered by Global English, because of the course material and the staff. Global English is a terrific path to take if you are someone like me, or are new to the field and would like to earn a certification to get you started.

Certificates
It is an enormous TESOL world for those with the skills, confidence and an accredited TESOL certificate behind them.
Most online providers only offer their own final certificate, but because Global English has sought external accreditation, ACTDEC awards your level 2 certificate. This means you and employers can verify that this course has met strict external quality criteria.
Best of all, ACTDEC certification fees are included in the price - so there is nothing extra for you to pay for this quality guarantee.
