An in-depth accredited TESOL training course for career minded people. This is a perfect entry level course for more competitive TEFL destinations, such as Europe.
Ideal if:
- you’re new to the profession but want to gain a thorough grounding in TESOL / TEFL
- you wish to start a new life and teach English abroad
- you’re already teaching but would like an accredited certificate to formalise your experience
- you are looking for a versatile qualification, backed by the renown ACTDEC Level 2 certificate
Why this course?
Our guided, interactive programme gives you the chance to practice the essential things you will need to do on your own as a teacher, such as create lesson plans and source materials. Many other online courses rely much more heavily on self assessment/multi choice – this one doesn’t. More personalised support means we can help you develop better teaching skills.
Your Level 2 certificate is awarded by ACTDEC so employers can be sure this course has met strict, independent criteria for TESOL provision. You will have a strong foundation to give you the confidence and skills necessary to succeed in the classroom.
How the course works
As soon as you register, you'll get directed to log in to your personal student area where you can message your tutor, download your course and view latest TESOL jobs worldwide via our jobs feed.
After downloading your first module (there are 4 in total) you can work offline when you want to. There are short tasks and in-depth activities throughout the course with exam questions at the end of each module.
When complete, simply upload your modules via your student area and get full feedback from your tutor.
Your final award is graded on the following scale: A, B or Pass and this is shown on your Global English Certificate.
Throughout the course you’ll be able to access live teaching segments, podcasts and links to some of the top EFL material on the web today to keep you interested & motivated. We've made this course as flexible and easy for you to access as possible.
Eligibility
Our courses are open to all native and non-native English speakers with good written and spoken English. If you are a non-native English speaker, please see the course eligibility requirements on our FAQ page. Remember you can always ask us if you are not sure about your level of English.

Student Comments
Now that I've had some time to go through your comments and suggestions on my 4th Module, I'd just like to say a big thank you for all of your help and support over the past few months. I'm delighted to have completed my course, and am looking forward to "pastures new" when I start teaching my first class next week.
I have to say that I've been very pleased with the quality of service and level of support that I have received from everyone at Global English, and that you (Martin) have been an exceptional tutor. I can't thank you enough for your prompt answers to my queries, helpful suggestions and comments, and also your book recommendations. You have helped me to grow as a teacher, and I have some useful teaching resources for future use.
Carol King
I found the course content very relevant and practical. It enabled me to build up a portfolio of lesson plans and activities. I was very impressed with how quickly marked papers were sent back to me.
Rachael Sargeant
This has been an excellent and convenient way of getting my teaching qualifications while being able to continue my other work.

Certificates
It is an enormous TESOL world for those with the skills, confidence and an accredited TESOL certificate behind them.
Most online providers only offer their own final certificate, but because Global English has sought external accreditation, ACTDEC awards your level 2 certificate. This means you and employers can verify that this course has met strict external quality criteria.
Best of all, ACTDEC certification fees are included in the price - so there is nothing extra for you to pay for this quality guarantee.
