Hi! My name’s Clare. I’ve been teaching English for the last 9 years and have worked in a variety of European countries, including the Czech Republic, Portgual and the Azores. I am now settled in the Azores where my husband and I are building our own home and I specialise in Internet and phone teaching.

I’ve taught a complete range of ages and backgrounds, including young learners, Cambridge exam classes and Business and Banking English. Perhaps my most challenging experience was designing and leading an intensive English course for EU politicians.

I’ve found TESOL to be a really rewarding career, full of both challenges and fun. I love helping my students become so much more confident and fluent, and have found in recent years that I naturally offer the same level of support to fellow teachers. Sharing ideas and experiences helps us all get better at what we do.
